The rivers are a great source of Stone, Flint, and some Metal. The rivers are home to the Piranha, Oncorhynchus, Coelacanth, Sarcosuchus, and Spinosaurus. The redwood forest is centered on the heart of the main island around Deep Island and Red Peak, south of the Volcano and directly north of the swamps. However, there is little if any Metal, Crystal, and Obsidian. The swamps are a dangerous place due to both the heat and its inhabitants, but the dangers lead to greater rewards, including Rare Mushroom, Rare Flower, Plant Species X Seed, and plentiful resources. The swamps are centered in the south and east in the Writhing Swamps and are home to the Plant Species X, Meganeura, leech, Beelzebufo, Sarcosuchus, and Titanoboa. The snow is a dangerous place due to both the cold and its inhabitants, but the dangers lead to greater rewards, including Organic Polymer from the Kairuku and plentiful resources. The snow is centered in the northwest around Whitesky Peak and Winter's Mouth, home to the Kairuku, Sabertooth, Direwolf, Megaloceros, Mammoth, and Woolly Rhino. The plains and grasslands are home to almost every creature, making them a great place for hunting, but not just Humans. Higher areas are good for houses due to high visibility but be careful because you will need water eventually. The mountains are some of the only places where Metal, Crystal, and Obsidian are found in abundance along with lots of Stone and Flint, making them excellent quarries and mines. The mountains are home to the Ankylosaurus, Doedicurus, Stegosaurus, Argentavis, Pulmonoscorpius, Raptor, Carnotaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Quetzalcoatlus, and Giganotosaurus. These areas are often guarded by trees, making aerial spotting of enemies nearly impossible. The forests are home to the Raptor, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Brontosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Parasaurolophus, Carnotaurus, and Gallimimus. These areas are the least dangerous part of the island, being the starting area. The beaches are home to the Dodo, Dilophosaurus, Compsognathus, Pteranodon, Carbonemys, and Trilobite. East 2 - Sound side of East 3, near the Green Obelisk can reach down toward East 1.
